Carrot-Cabbage Curry- The triple C's



Carrot and Cabbage are very nutritious for health. Here is a curry recipe of 5 minutes cooking time.

Ingredients:
2 medium sized carrots cut into juvenile strips
1 medium sized onion finely chopped
5-6 leaves of cabbage- wash and cut into juvenile strips
4 green chillies
1tbsp of grated coconut
few corriander leaves for garnishing
For seasoning:
1tbsp of cooking oil
1tsp of mustard seeds
1/2 tsp of urad dal
1 strand of curry leaves


Method:
Step 1:  To season, heat oil in a pan, when hot, add mustard seed, urad dal, green chillies and curry leaves.










Step 2: Add chopped onions and sauté for a while.











Step 3: Now add carrots and sauté for 2 minutes.











Step 4: Sprinkle little water on the carrot  and cover it with a lid and cook for 2 minutes.










Step 5: Now add the chopped cabbage to the carrot, saute and cook with the lid covered
for 2 to 3 minutes.








Step 6: Add salt to taste and mix it well. Put off the fire and then add grated coconut and garnish with corriander leaves.









Serve with hot rice as side dish.
